La Dott.ssa Philipp ha conseguito il suo MD presso la McMaster University. Ha svolto la sua formazione in psichiatria per adulti nel programma Harvard-Longwood, e la sua formazione in psichiatria infantile e adolescenziale presso il Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Ha completato una borsa di studio in psichiatria infantile e perinatale presso l'Università di Toronto Medical School. È professore assistente, in facoltà presso l'Università di Toronto e dirige un team di valutazione e trattamento infantile e prescolare presso SickKids CCMH. Oltre ad aver scritto diversi articoli sulle famiglie giovani e sulla transizione alla genitorialità, la dottoressa Philipp è co-autrice del libro "Il bambino e la coppia: Understanding and Treating Young families" (Fivaz-Depeursinge & Philipp, 2014), che è stato tradotto anche in Italiano e Francese. La dottoressa Philipp ha anche sviluppato un modello manualizzato di terapia familiare breve per la popolazione infantile e prescolare noto come Reflective Family Play (RFP; Philipp, 2012; Philipp & Hayos, 2015). Da relatrice, ha presentato questo modello e la LTP in Canada, Europa, Israele e Australia.

Dr. Philipp received her MD from McMaster University and did her adult residency training in psychiatry in the Harvard-Longwood Program as well as her child and adolescent psychiatry training at the Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She completed a fellowship in Infant and Perinatal Psychiatry at the University of Toronto Medical School. She is an Assistant Professor, on faculty at the University of Toronto and heads an infant and preschool assessment and treatment team at the SickKids CCMH. In addition to several peer-reviewed articles on young families and the transition to parenthood, Dr. Philipp has co-authored the book, “The baby and the couple: Understanding and Treating Young families” (Fivaz-Depeursinge & Philipp, 2014), which has also been translated into Italian and French. Dr. Philipp also developed a manualized model of brief family therapy for the infant and preschool population known as Reflective Family Play (RFP; Philipp, 2012; Philipp & Hayos, 2015). She has been an invited speaker on this model as well as on the LTP in Canada, Europe, Israel, and Australia.
